Gold shine

Well, I liked collection 2000's metallic cream eyeshadow in rockpool that I went out and picked up gold rush too!

The high shine of this really picks up the light which my other gold eyeshadows (I've got a lot!) don't.

Raspberry ripple

Found a rather old, forgotten mac pigment pot in the bottom of my make up bag- as you do!- and thought I'd give it another whirl.

Then as I was applying I remembered why I don't use it so much - WAY too much glitter for my liking!!! It falls out when applying all over face, hair, hands, clothes, carpet etc etc and was a tad too glittery for a work look!

Still, I like the dusky pink colour, although I think its discontinued...

Popping blue eyes- Collection 2000 metallic cream eyeshadow review

I'm generally a pressed or loose powder eyeshadow kinda girl but thought I should give some cream eyeshadows a go... So roll up Collection 2000 metallic cream eyeshadow in rockpool.

It's a light blue/green shade with high sheen in a tube with wand applicator and I got lots of lovely comments about the colour because it really 'popped'.

Good times:
Really easy to apply with smooth texture
Strong vibrant colour
Colour lasted all day with an eye primer (even through my gym session!)
Didn't crease (although not sure if that was actually the eyeshadow formulation or my primer doing it's job!)
It drys quickly and 'sets' so no wet or heavy feel

Bad times:
It drys quickly and 'sets'(!) so you have to be super quick to mop up any mistakes!
It doesn't blend too well
When I took it off, no matter how much make up remover / cleanser I used it left a greeny tinge on my eyelids - yik!

Definitely going to check out some of the other colours and at £2.99 it's a bargain!

Urban decay eyeshadow primer potion

This is brilliant stuff! I use face primer before my foundation but up until recently had never thought to put on my eyes. I saw in look mag the x factor MUA talking about how she'd created a little mix look and this product was mentioned.

I dab it on after I've done my face- foundation, concealer, powder and let it dry slightly by doing my eyebrows and then pat on eyeshadow with a brush.

Shadow sticks immediately and it helps keep the colour vibrant. It helps shadow stay put all day and reduces creasing and colour fading - genius!

It has a tacky feel, is neutral and a little goes a long way. don't think I've got anything bad to say about it! *gushes*

I got mine from Debenhams for £14.50 and recommend it to everyone!

I love the deep red shade of this lipstick but as it's really matt it comes out a bit dry and lumpy on my lips so I applied first and then kinda buffed some carmex lip balm over the top...
